As 2009 comes to an end I am getting ready for 2010. In my end of the year letter I talked about my new project for 2010. One of the 101 things in 1001 days to do is make a time capsule to open when I turn 40. I had started getting together a list of things I like in the capsule. I am putting a lot of thing recapping 2009. But I also want personal things in the capsule. I am writing a letter to myself about my life as it is today and some advice to myself. I am also including a list of things I like to accomplish before I open the capsule. One thing that I would like is letters from my close family and friends about my relationship, past and present, what they see for us in the future possible, and advice they have for me as I turn 40 or anything at all. I am hoping that we will be willing to take a short time to write me a letter to include in my capsule. If you are no need to tell me just mail me the letter and write TIME CAPSULE on the letter so I don’t open it right away. My plan is to seal the capsule at the end of January. I am looking forward to seeing how I get letters from. Also if there is anything you think I should include in the capsule please feel free to tell me. I want my family and friends to be a part of this also. Thank you for the time.

This last year has been a bit of an emotional roller coaster. I graduated college, started a new job and had a bit of a bumpy road.
January started off very busy, I was not only working full time and going to school full time. I also had my major practicum at The Center for Independent Living. This kept me very busy. I really enjoy the learn experience I got there. In April I present my research project at the National Conference of Undergraduate Research. In May my college time came to an end. I finally graduate from UW Stout. It was a very reward experience. Lucky mom, dad and Maggie we are to come down to Stout to be a part of this experience. I got lucky and was able to have to parties. I had one in Menomonie in May and held a second party in Rhinelander in June.
After graduation I started looking for a new job. I loved my work at the Arc and taking care of the girls, but as things were change there I was unsure about my job there. I had applied for a few jobs but with the economy being slow it was hard to find a good job. I was fresh out of college and had a lack of some experience. September I was called for an interview at Reach Inc. At first I was a bit unsure about taking the job due to the pay cut and it was in Eau Claire (30 miles away). After some thinking I decided to take the job. Things are Arc were not very promising. I am the Independent Living Supervisor at Reach Inc. I run the kitchen; I have four groups a day. I supervisors the clients-employees plan and prepare meals. The clients-employees also set the table, clean up and do laundry and dishes. I do the shopping for the all the food. I also do staffing reports for 100 plus clients I see in a week.
Now that I am working in Eau Claire, I am hoping to move there soon. I am at this time looking for a sub-leaser for my Menomonie apartment. I have a friend willing to let me move in short term to save up some money and find a nice place to live in Eau Claire.
This year has bought me much joy also thou through many new experience. Living in the Northwood’s for years I never went snowmobiling till this February. In the end of May one of my good college friend, Clint of my taught me how to shoot a gun. I was never nervous and had mix feeling about it but I am glad I took him up and learn how to shoot. In August I was able to fly out to Rhode Island to see one of my dear friends, Leah. I was out there for a few days, was able to see the ocean and do some site seeing. When I first got there Leah and I were both very sad I was not able to come back for the wedding in early September. Lucky to some very good friends of the groom, they made it possible for me to come back for the wedding. So I was able to fly back for the wedding. I was very excited and very happy that I was able to be out there for the wedding. In October I went rock climbing at the Stout gym with my college friend. I was able to make it almost to the top, I had a great teacher. Something I would be willing to try again.
Relationship wise this year has been really rough. I have learned a lot this past year of what is need for a good solid relationship. I have also learned that the hard one tries to date the more likely they are to get hurt.
I have gone strong on my Project 365 this past year. I was really happy that I choose to do this project with my friends. Now coming into a new year I need something new to try. Many of my friends are going to be doing a big project with me. The project is 101 things in 1001 days. The challenge is to make a list of 101 things you like to complete in 1001 days. I will have made a list and will be starting January 1, 2010 with this new project. Please feel free to follow with me in my journey at Beka’s 101 things in 1001 days. I look forward to see what 2010 will bring to me.
